I plan for this to be an ongoing series about superfoods found within numerous cultures. Extensions will be added as I visit new countries. A superfood is “a nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being”. As a Registered Dietitian, I counsel clients and patients from various ethnic backgrounds. It is near impossible to be familiar with EVERY food know to a country.
It can be challenging to stay healthy while on the road. Good nutrition paired with activity keeps us feeling our best so we can explore the rest. A friend and fellow traveler reached out to me for advance so I decided to create a list for all.
